#141: Spires
I really like this one, and although it dried darker than this, I am hoping that varnish will bring it back. This is maybe the fourth or fifth layer - the first ones started as a green landscape, then green and yellow, then green and yellow with a giant red stripe, then a giant violet interference stripe, and finally I decided that whole thing was a lost causes, and did a long series of small circular strokes in various colors, using the still-soft underlying gel for texture. Although you can still see the underlying gel layers (especially the central diagonal lines), they add accent and counterpoint. I have high hopes for this one.
